Anne Schrader is the founder and owner of Eco Solutions - a sustainability consultancy inspired by her passion for environmental stewardship and guided by a mission to help champion a more sustainable world.

Anne leads these initiatives by fostering eco-friendly awareness and education; conducting sustainability assessments for homes and businesses; and providing science-supported information, helpful resources, and sustainable solutions that help her clients and community “Go Green.”

As an avid environmentalist for over 30 years, Anne has cultivated on-going sustainability in her own life; and like many others, she has personally experienced the destructive impacts and resilient recovery from environmental fire and flood disasters that include Hurricane Matthew in 2016.

Anne is a PWC and FAMPO citizen & community advisory member and has over 25 years of experience as a successful business owner and manager. She has worked collaboratively with communities and businesses, neighborhood associations, law enforcement, and local government in the evaluation, strategic planning, and rehabilitation of abandoned properties and neglected neighborhoods. Her work has contributed to the revitalization of homes and communities, more sustainable green spaces and environments, healthier local housing markets, and stronger regional economies.

She has also worked as an occupational therapy practitioner assessing and helping her clients, and their families, overcome the challenges of disability and adversity and has served as a dedicated volunteer partnering with non-profits such as Habitat for Humanity, Sierra Club, Caring House Project Foundation, Sustainable Sandhills, and Foundation for Women to help create more sustainable and resilient homes, businesses, environments, and communities - locally and internationally.

Anne is a skilled leader and competent communicator and has been recognized by Toastmasters International for her contributions to public speaking, educational workshops, and leadership training.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University, comes from an entrepreneurial military family, enjoys all things home & garden, and currently lives in Cumberland County, North Carolina.

Like a ripple effect, our daily choices shape the world around us through actions that impact how we manage our homes, conduct our businesses, serve our communities, and protect our environment.

Our Call to Action

The global environmental challenges humanity now faces pose existential threats unlike any time in history and require a global and unified response in implementing their solutions. The reality, scale, and acceleration of these changes is impacting the world around us - not just in natural resources, ecosystems, wildlife, Arctic ice sheets, climate changes, coastlines, and cities across the earth, but also the health and well-being of every person and the generations to come.

Fortunately, through global environmental research and innovation, renewable and more sustainable solutions are available now and scaling across the world. These include critical societal and cultural improvements such as empowering girls, reducing population growth, and expanding environmental awareness and education, as well as changing our diets, consumption, and waste patterns. They also involve reducing pollution and supporting nature through environmental protection initiatives such as regenerative agriculture, ethical political and corporate action, eco-friendly buildings, renewable energy, and efficient transportation, as well as updating, protecting, and conserving water systems.

Most importantly, these solutions illuminate the many ways we can live in harmony with the natural world and take actions now as individuals, families, businesses, schools, churches, communities, governments, and nations. Our collective Call to Action is that we all have an essential role to play and science tells us, we also have the solutions and plans to create a more sustainable world.
